(Of course, they forget to include the cost of gas in their plans, and they don’t seem to understand the meaning of “express.”) Then, the brothers give Fat Freddy money to score some weed, and he proudly returns with...an electric train set?

Other Freak follies in this volume include all of the color strips from the Freak Brothers’ adventures as originally published in High Times and Playboy magazines. High Times and Misdemeanors is the fifth release in this special series of seven graphic albums. (The series presents all of the Freak Brothers’ adventures chronologically, but individual albums are being released in a different order. Still to come: Volumes 1 and 7.) About the Author

Gilbert Shelton (b. 1940, Dallas, Texas), a founding father of the underground comix movement, is the creator of the iconic comix characters The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers, Fat Freddy’s Cat, and Wonder Wart-Hog. He was inducted into the Will Eisner Award Hall of Fame in 2012. He has been known to sing and play piano for the Blum Brothers, a Paris-based rhythm and blues group. He lives in Paris, France, with his wife and an ever-changing number of cats.

Dave Sheridan (1943 – 1982) was an American cartoonist and underground comix artist. He was the creator of Dealer McDope and Tales from the Leather Nun and collaborated with Gilbert Shelton and Paul Mavrides on The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers.
