About the Author
Alejandro Jodorowsky (born 1929) is a Chilean-French avant-garde filmmaker, writer, and comic creator, celebrated for his surreal and provocative films such as "El Topo" (1970) and "The Holy Mountain" (1973). Emerging from roots in theater and mime, Jodorowsky became a leading figure in experimental cinema and performance art, blending mysticism, satire, and symbolic imagery. He is also renowned for his influential comic collaborations, most famously the science fiction saga "The Incal" with artist Moebius, bringing his visionary narratives to both film and graphic novels.
About the Artist
Jean Giraud, known as Moebius, was a French comic artist and illustrator born in 1938 and recognized for revolutionizing comic art and science fiction imagery. Under the pseudonym Moebius, he produced visionary, mind-bending works such as "Arzach" and partnered with Jodorowsky on "The Incal". Moebius was known for his boundary-defying style, prolific imagination, and work on films and comics that influenced generations of artists; he remained active until his passing in 2012.
